USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi explained
USB
A direct wired connection between one computer and a compatible printer. Check the required connector and cable type.
Ethernet
A wired network connection often used for shared office printers. The printer and network equipment must provide Ethernet ports.
Wi-Fi
A wireless network option available on selected models. Supported frequency bands and setup methods vary by model.
Check before you buy

- Confirm paper size, cartridge yield and region-specific supply numbers.
Find model-specific information
Search the manufacturer’s official website using the full model number. Use only domains owned by the manufacturer when downloading manuals, firmware or printer software.
- Read the company name printed on the printer or its original packaging.
- Type that company’s website address directly into your browser or use a trusted search result clearly identified as its official website.
- Open the official manuals or downloads section and search using the complete printer model number.
- Check that the website domain belongs to the product manufacturer before downloading any file.
